It is time again to let
everyone know that all in our class are still alive. I have
to start writing early, as I am so slow. It even takes me
two hours to watch "60 minutes" on TV.
We have had a very enjoyable visit with Mrs.
Haralson, who is pastor Jim's mother, at the Comer Nursing
Home. May God continue to bless you Mrs. Haralson. Upon
entering the visitors lounge, a nice lady was sitting at the
piano and playing. She was a resident of the home and her
name was Jessie Suta. She asked for Christian song requests
and we were all singing, including a few other residents who
stopped by. I didn't sing very loud as my singing would
curdle milk, but others did.
After the visit, we went and enjoyed a buffet
lunch. Jack only through the line but twice as he said he
wasn't very hungry. I only went through once because the
only exercise I've had lately is jumping to conclusions.
Congratulations from our class to Rusty Goss
and Jackie Story upon their marriage on September 28 and
also to Mitchell Meadow and Dorothy Clark for their marriage
in October. Both Rusty and Mitchell grew up in our church
and are good candidates as a husband and Jackie is a recent
new member. Each couple should remember that marriage is
grand but a divorce is many grands. We hope each of you have
many happy years together and until death do you part. Over
the years you can expect some disagreements and arguments as
others have. My wife and I have arguments at times, but I
always get the last two words in, and that is "YES MA'AM"!
Note: Our church will be having a yard sale
in early October. Ladies don't forget those things not worth
keeping around the house. Bring your husband!
