Good Newsl There
is light at the end of the tunnel! All the plumbing
and electrical finish work has been completed and is
operating perfectly. A minimum number of kitchen
cabinets have been installed so that the
electricians could finish with the under-cabinet
lights.
Bathroom
partitions and handicap grab-bars have been ordered
and should be delivered in approximately two weeks.
Once they are installed, we can call the county for
the final inspection and hopefully get our C.O.
(Certificate of Occupancy). Even though the floors
will be unfinished, they will be painted.
It has been
decided to carpet the floors at a later date after
we have raised the needed money.
Once we have the C.O., the building can be used. We
have formed a sub-committee to establish guidelines
for the use of the Family Life Center. These are
being finalized and will be published soon.
Since we are so close to being able to use the
Family Life Center, we felt it was time to begin a
drive to purchase tables and chairs for the new
building. Our goal is to obtain twenty (20) round
60" tables and one hundred twenty (120) chairs to
begin with, plus the dollies to move and store them.
We will have a
sign-up sheet posted on the bulletin board for
everyone who would like to donate a table or tables
and/or a chair or chairs.
